The world of next-generation products is fast-moving, innovative and brimming with potential. With EVO NXT, Messe Dortmund last year created a modern forum that does justice to precisely this potential. This business festival will be held for the third time in April 2025, this year turning Milan into the undisputed NGP hotspot where visionaries, thought leaders and experts can meet and engage in an atmosphere that is truly unique. One of the focus topics is already emerging: Nicotine pouches have been trending rapidly in this growing market for new tobacco and nicotine products. According to a 2023 TobaccoIntelligence study on the nicotine pouch market, the market in the EU grew from EUR 100 million in 2019 to EUR 930 million in 2023. This study was commissioned by the Nordic Nicotine Pouches Association (NNPA), one of the partners of EVO NXT.

Dortmund, 22 November 2024 – In the study entitled 'The EU Nicotine Pouch Report', the experts reckon the market will grow by at least another 70% by 2027. The analysis showed there were 300,000 users in the EU in 2019 and 2.6 million by 2023, with the trend moving steadily upwards. Nicotine pouches are available in great variety, including different nicotine strengths and different flavours. According to the TobaccoIntelligence analysis, the trends in terms of product development are: innovative filling material to optimise nicotine, flavour delivery and sustainable packaging.

Despite its fast-moving growth, the industry – like the NGP segment in general – time and again has to overcome a variety of hurdles including, in particular, regulatory issues. As a result, oral products in particular are a focal point for the people organising EVO NXT 2025. Even at this stage, it is already clear that this will be reflected not just in the international range of exhibitors but also in the festival's varied supporting programme.

Several international suppliers in the pouch space have already secured their places at EVO NXT on 3 and 4 April 2025, including Norway's Den Norske Snusfabrikken, Dholakia Tobacco from India, Vont, a young company from Sweden, Garant and Camo Snus from Lithuania, and Polish nicotine and energy pouch maker Luna Corporate.

The exhibitors in the pouch segment will be joined by other well-known names in the NGP market such as Absolute E-Juice, one of the leading UK producers of liquids and flavours, Chinese vaping providers SKE and Sikary and Italian e-liquid manufacturer Blendfeel. Cannabis products will be represented by businesses such as Dutch company Cannashock, one of the leading online sellers of cannabis products, and Narcos from Germany. Businesses who have already signed up include ARAC (Applied Research And Analysis Company) from the US, a company engaged in consulting, research and product development.

Top speakers, industry experts and prominent figures in the industry will also be offering informed insights in a varied and entertaining way as part of the supporting programme.
