Following its promising début this year, the second EVO NXT business festival for next-generation products (NGPs) will be held in Málaga, Spain, on 5 and 6 April 2024. The team of organisers at Messe Dortmund will have the benefit of more first-rate assistance from experts at the Global Vape Alliance (GVA, founded in September 2023) as they prepare for this important event.
Dortmund, 18 December 2023 – The Global Vape Alliance (GVA) is an international alliance of leading associations in the e-cigarette industry, which announced its formation and presented its founding declaration at InterTabac 2023. By uniting under one umbrella organisation, leading industry associations are committed to working together to bring about responsible and positive change at an international level. EVO NXT, which had its successful début in 2023, provides the perfect platform for this endeavour. At the second EVO NXT, to be held on 5 and 6 April 2024, the GVA will contribute to the already extensive information content in the run-up to, and during, this business festival for the NGP industry. As an already important institution in the NGP industry, the alliance will use its extensive network of associations, manufacturers and contacts to reinforce EVO NXT's impressive credentials. The participating organisations include the Independent European Vape Alliance (IEVA), the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA), the Electronic Cigarette Professional Committee of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (ECCC) and the Vapor Technology Association (VTA) in the US.
One reason for this engagement was the presentation of the GVA at InterTabac in Dortmund back in September 2023 when, in addition to signing the 'Global Vape Alliance Declaration', the players also used the show’s supporting programme to underscore the need for the alliance, with IEVA Chairman Dustin Dahlmann, UKVIA Director General John Dunne, ECCC Secretary General Will Ao and Tony Abboud, Director General of the VTA, emphasising the essential need for international collaboration in the field of e-cigarettes in the panel entitled 'Ongoing challenges in the vaping industry - the need for cooperation'. The experts discussed the challenges posed by different regulations and bans. The fact that the industry must work together to find solutions to minimise the risks of e-cigarettes to public health and at the same time maintain the benefits for adult smokers was also the subject of discussion, and it was noted that these solutions must also be brought to the attention of the (specialist) public.
Dustin Dahlmann, Chairman of the Independent European Vape Alliance, is convinced that the alliance can help in many areas to shape the future of e-cigarettes, and that EVO NXT provides the right platform for this: “We're looking forward to working even more closely with those responsible for EVO NXT. The fact that such an event has been organised and has been so well received is extremely important for the industry. The declaration reaffirms our commitment to a sustainable future based on four key mainstays: regulatory compliance, promotion of the industry, public health and environmental protection. In this way, we can help ensure that safer products are developed, that local and international regulations are complied with, and that environmentally friendly production methods are used.”
